How to handle end of semester stress

As we all know when the semester is about to end class projects and other papers with deadlines are due. Also there is studying for final exams, leaving campus for winter break or summer break, thinking of going back home and preparing for the holidays all run through my mind. When there is a lot going on and many aspects of life seem beyond our control, we begin to feel stress, anxiety, and pressure. For most of us stress manifests itself in different ways, but for some moderate stress motivates or improve their study. Too much stress however, diminishes one’s performance. Be aware of what stress do to you and others. When this happens think of ways and means to help reduce your stress. I take a time out to get away from everything and this really helps. I go running or do other activities because that is a way that I have always relieved my stress. It gives me time to think about what I am doing and get myself back in order again, so when I get back, I am fresh and start to work again. I also normally make a list of what I need to be done. I normally go through the list rank them and also take out the ones that I don’t need. Make another list of what helps you relax and integrate it with the first list. Do the best you can. Ask for help because it helps you understand what you are missing. For most students who English is not their first language, end of semester is also stress for them. One way to help them solve this is to go to your instructors early and seek possible help for exams. These students may also be coping with the expectations and emotions associated with a holiday season. They may be facing the challenges of returning home or staying in the U.S. over the break. For those students staying in the U.S., this time can be difficult for them because some maybe facing financial pressure and nowhere to go. What are other ways to handles end of semester stress?
