300 words

I am just wondering if the 300 word count is due for finals week too? I would love to continue writing to my peers, but to be honest I am still finding it very difficult to have much to respond to. I have noticed I am still currently the last one to post on the topics that I responded to last week :-(. If people did respond after I did, they did not really carry on a communication from the previous posts. Yes, the initial question was answered about themselves, but nothing was written to show a line of communication that needs to be continued anymore. I really wish these forums would have been able to carry on more of a back and forth line of communication between students. Questions were answered, and that was nice. I just wish that more of the forums could have opened up endless conversations agreeing or disagreeing with people's previous comments more.

Well, I copied and pasted your post into Word and it said you only wrote 158 words. I actually read your post too and thought it might be of help to give you something to respond to (and get 300 words in myself, just in case :-)

I must admit that I have been guilty of posting in the way you have described. It seems that many times I ended up posting my requirement on Sunday night so I didn't put as much effort into it as I planned on at the beginning of the semester.

I have read some interesting things on these forums and I did enjoy responding to some of the posts. For these posts that I enjoyed, I expressed some opinions and responded to the post of some other people, but didn't get any response from them. Perhaps, for some of them at least, it was because I responded to a post that was already a few years old..

So, I am glad for the semester to come to an end and for the weather to continue being warm. How do you feel about the semester ending? Do you feel that you have learned something worthwhile and accomplished something?

Usually, I am pretty stressed out right about this time because of papers and projects and all that due. This semester, though, I don't feel that way. A couple of classes have a comprehensive final but in order to do well in the class, one has to do well throughout the semester and therefore learn the material for the final anyway. And this class was nice because the work was split up into a group and deadlines kept everything on track. How have your finals been going? Any all-nighters? I do have at least some studying to do tonight though so.. later!

I do have to say that the projects in the English Writing for the Professions class was very worthwhile. I had gone to the bookstore, prior to taking the course, to check out what the different professors chose as books. The books chosen for this particular class contained interesting and useful information in an easy-to-find-the-information way.

I was overwhelmed when I learned the first day that we would have to create Business Plans and Book Proposals as our homework for the course. I did not think they were something that I could, or would, ever do! I am thoroughly pleased with my college education after completing these tasks. Yes, these tasks were a lot of work, but, I feel that every student should be exposed to these type of projects for the "real world." :-)
